eBay’s Magical Listing tool makes selling simpler

For someone selling for the first time, deciding how to describe an item and complete a listing can feel like a hurdle. 

To help, eBay has now launched its Magical Listing tool for eligible Australian casual sellers, using artificial intelligence to simplify the process of creating a listing.

The tool turns photos taken through the eBay app into suggested titles, categories and item details. Smart visual prompts help sellers capture their item, and sellers review the generated information before publishing.

Magical listing is a practical example of how AI can support everyday economic participation. This streamlined experience has led to a 50% reduction in the total steps needed to list an item on eBay.

Alongside free selling for eligible casual sellers, Magical Listing is part of eBay’s effort to make resale a simpler choice—helping Australians unlock value from their belongings and give useful products another life.
