eBay and Asia Internet Coalition Welcomes Amendment of Malaysia Copyright Act

Malaysia’s Copyright Amendment Act went through its first reading before the Dewan Rakyat in December 2010. Together with the other members of the Asia Internet Coalition (AIC), eBay welcomed the decision by the authorities to review the Copyright Act and submitted comments on the draft amendments to the Malaysian Copyright Act to the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Consumerism and Cooperatives.The paper details the AIC’s position regarding the Safe Harbor Provision, Fair Dealing and Fair Use in the Copyright Amendment Act.
