Congress Moves to Stabilize Postal Rates

Last week, a subcommittee of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee took an important step forward in strengthening the long-term financial health of the U.S. Postal Service by passing H.R. 5746, the United States Postal Service\'s CSRS Obligation Modification Act of 2010. Forcing them to comply with tax jurisdictions around the country will add additional costs to running their business. Click here to read Tod\'s letter to the editor.

The Facts: Internet Sales Tax and the Streamlined Sales Tax Project

The Streamlined Sales Tax Project (SSTP) is lobbying Congress to give them the authority to require out of state businesses to collect and remit sales taxes for Internet commerce. This would be complex and costly to small business sellers, who would be responsible for thousands of state and local tax jurisdictions across the country. eBay supports protections for small businesses in any proposal to change federal tax law. Get the facts about SSTP.
