Joy Woodruff joined Sound of Tri-State in 1994 while working part-time with her parents selling merchandise on eBay. In 1999 Sound of Tri-State asked Joy to use her eBay experience to list some of their products on the platform. From that moment their online presence grew quickly as they continued to sell more and more products online. Joy and Sound of Tri-State are also actively involved in a number of philanthropic activities locally and globally, including GivingWorks, an eBay program through which buyers can donate to Sound of Tri-State’s charity of choice at checkout. Joy is also a very active member of eBay’s seller advocacy community and our Small Business Ambassador Network program. Joy has participated in many eBay advocacy opportunities, representing eBay at our Advocacy Days in Washington, DC, joining our digital advocacy efforts, and authoring opinion editorials in local newspapers commenting on various issues affecting Internet-enabled small businesses. The entire eBay Government Relations team has enjoyed working alongside Joy and it was a pleasure to award her with the 2023 SBAN Advocacy Leadership Award.
