Last week eBay CEO Devin Wenig, along with eBay VP of Government Relations Cathy Foster and other members of the eBay GR team, met with South Korean Prime Minister Lee in Seoul. As one of eBay’s largest markets, Devin thanked the Prime Minister for maintaining a business-friendly environment in South Korea and committed to continued eBay investment in the country. In turn, the PM was quite complimentary of eBay’s business practices in South Korea, our commitment to corporate social responsibility and the corporate culture we’ve created amongst our South Korean staff.
In addition to discussing eBay’s ongoing investment in the South Korean market, Devin also emphasized that net neutrality and an open internet are essential for business development, especially small business development. With a fully open Internet, eBay can continue to provide a marketplace that allows small businesses and entrepreneurs to flourish in South Korea and around the world.
eBay would like to thank PM Lee for taking time out of his busy schedule to meet with Devin and the eBay team.
