This week, eBay hosted Governor Gary Herbert (R-UT) at our headquarters in San Jose, California. Governor Herbert was elected in August 2009 and has since focused on economic development and transforming Utah into a top destination for business and job growth.

The meeting was attended by some of eBay’s senior leaders including CFO Scott Schenkel,  SVP & General Counsel Marie Oh Huber, VP of Global Government Relations & Public Policy Cathy Foster, and VP of Tax Carol Tabrizi. This was a great opportunity to discuss eBay’s presence in Utah and our commitment to sustainability. The group had a great conversation about eBay’s focus on moving to 100% renewable energy in the electricity supplies at eBay data centers by 2025 and how we can best partner with Governor Herbert to meet those goals.
