This week, eBay Small Business Ambassador Network Member, Yinka Ogunsunlade of Fashionably Legal, participated in a panel discussion hosted by the Coalition for a 21st Century Postal Service on the continued importance of the US Postal Service (USPS). The panel, composed of representatives from the shipping and mailing industries, the postal supply chain and a mix of large and small businesses, focused on the importance of ensuring the Postal Service continues to serve as a critical component of America’s infrastructure, connecting Americans reliably and affordably. Panelists highlighted the need for fiscal solvency, support for millions of postal workers, and continued oversight of the Postal Service. Yinka highlighted how eBay’s partnership with the USPS helps keep rates competitive, empowers economic growth, and enables his business to reach customers all over the world.
eBay empowers small businesses in every corner of the country – from remote, rural areas that often have no other affordable shipping alternatives, to major metro areas. Six-day affordable delivery is critical for small businesses to survive and compete in ecommerce. In tough times, consumers are looking for deals on places like eBay and sellers like Yinka. It is critical to recognize that economic recovery will only happen with affordable, reliable delivery services.
The eBay Government Relations Team would like to thank Yinka for taking time away from his business to appear at this event and voice his support for eBay and a healthy US Postal Service.
