In December, eBay Inc.’s Government Relations team met with Deputy Director Li Shi of the Shenzhen Investment Promotion Bureau (Invest Shenzhen) to exchange public policy priorities and opportunities between eBay Inc. and the Shenzhen municipal government.
eBay Inc.'s Government Relations Vice President & Deputy General Counsel Tod Cohen and Chief of Staff Richard Nash highlighted eBay Inc.'s appreciation of the Shenzhen government's efforts to foster technological opportunities in Shenzhen and reiterated our commitment to facilitate connected commerce throughout greater China. Deputy Director Li highlighted key investment and development policies as well as stressed the importance of eBay Inc.'s presence in Shenzhen, recognizing eBay Inc. as a catalyst for global trade for many eBay and PayPal businesses in Shenzhen.
Both eBay Inc. and the Shenzhen government have a shared purpose to accelerate policies and industry opportunities that enable local and global opportunities for businesses of all sizes throughout greater China. By cultivating public-private partnerships between eBay Inc. and Invest Shenzhen, eBay Inc.'s Government Relations team aims to create a more effective environment for eBay and PayPal businesses and consumers, tackling political and business barriers to global commerce.
