This week the eBay Government Relations team hosted 20 eBay small business owners from around the country in Washington, D.C. for our annual U.S. of eBay Advocacy Day. Representing 16 states, these eBay sellers joined us for our 13th annual event and advocated for sound ecommerce policy for all U.S. small businesses that sell on the eBay marketplace. The sellers met with many members of Congress, as well as officials at the White House, to discuss fair Internet sales tax policy and the importance of trade policy that promotes small business exports. Everyone involved agreed that the meetings were highly productive.

Our eBay small business participants were joined by a variety of eBay executives, all of whom believe strongly in advocating for small, internet-enabled businesses. Among the attendees were Scott Cutler, SVP for the Americas region, Marie Oh Huber, eBay General Counsel, Bob Kupbens, VP of Seller & Marketplace Operations, and Damien Hooper-Campbell, VP & Chief Diversity Officer for eBay. These executives joined the sellers on Capitol Hill and at the White House to reinforce the message legislators were hearing from eBay sellers.
