Last week at the Sevilla Chamber of Commerce, eBay continued its Spanish regional tour, in partnership with key institutions, to present its how-to guide for small and medium businesses (SMBs) who want to start selling online.
A media breakfast was hosted by Francisco Herrero León, President of the Chamber of Commerce of Sevilla, and Maria Naranjo Crespo, Direction of Information and Personalized Services at ICEX, the public agency in charge of promoting Spain, its companies and its products to foreign markets. eBay was represented by both José Angel Lopez, Head of Professional Sellers for Spain, and Alberto Prat, CEO of Prat International Brands, and an accomplished eBay seller since 2008, featured as a success story in the guide.
This was followed by a workshop attended by around 50 local entrepreneurs, with the same speakers deep-diving a bit more into the practical implications of starting an online selling activity. The event ended with an interesting Q&A session during which the public showed much interest in the experience of Albert Prat.
This effort is part of eBay Government Relations’ continued work to promote the digital transformation of SMBs to policy-makers, and to leverage their leadership to reach further entrepreneurial audiences.
