This week, a federal appeals court upheld the Federal Communications Commission's repeal of Obama-era net neutrality protections. In its decision, the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals primarily sided with the FCC over their decision two years ago to unwind Internet rules that required Internet service providers (ISPs) to treat all online traffic equally. However, the court's decision was mixed, and could allow state and local governments to try to introduce their own net neutrality rules.

eBay had filed a legal brief in the case in support of net neutrality, and continues to be a supporter of a free and open Internet, protected from "fast lanes" and other restrictive practices. We will keep the Main Street community updated as discussions on this important issue progress.
