This month, eBay joined a coalition of corporations to help generate political momentum across the state for building decarbonization efforts and policies. Headquartered in San Jose, CA, eBay supports the State’s ambitious carbon reduction goals and continues to make significant commitments and investments to lower our carbon footprint. Building decarbonization policies and practices include energy efficiency programs; building energy benchmarking programs; sustainable building design approaches; performance standards for new and existing buildings; strategic electrification; building energy and water codes; strategic energy management; building-level distributed generation and storage; and demand-side management (DSM) programs.
eBay is in good company - other signatories include: Adobe, IKEA Retail U.S., VF Corporation, Ben & Jerry’s, Unilever, Burton Snowboards, California State University Northridge, California State University Sacramento, CommonSpirit Health, Cree Lighting, DSM North America, Energy Management Solutions, Nature’s Path, Numi Tea, Lundberg Family Farms, Sierra Nevada Brewing, Lutron Electronics Co., University of California Davis, University of California Merced, University of California Riverside, NAESCO, and Uplight.
eBay strongly supports the establishment of robust building decarbonization policies. As the West recovers from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, these policies will help ensure the long-tern health of the region’s economy and citizens.
