Recently, eBay Country Manager for India and Southeast Asia Vidmay Naini met with the High Commissioner of India to Singapore Mr. P. Kumaran. This meeting was held to build a relationship with the High Commissioner and brief him on how eBay is creating economic opportunity for small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in India and Singapore who export. The High Commissioner in turn shared information about a number of important initiatives, including the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, an initiative by the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements.

Much of the discussion also focused on enabling India SMEs to become bigger players globally. The High Commissioner confirmed his full support to eBay for policy and advocacy growth of Indian retail exports.
