Earlier this month, the eBay Government Relations Team visited the Sunshine State and coordinated dynamic in-person dialogues between four of our Small Business Ambassador Network Members and numerous Florida State Legislators in Fort Myers and Miami, Florida. The small business owners who shared their stories with key legislators included Alec Larson of Larson Enterprises, Marc Furmanski of Semi Classic, Patty Whitlock of The Shopping Mom, and Will Zena of AVZEN Sports. This diverse set of businesses sell items ranging from trading cards and parts and accessories to apparel and collectibles. They stressed the importance of the Florida State Legislature crafting policies that protect and support online sellers.
The eBay Government Relations Team would like to thank Alec, Marc, Patty, and Will for taking time away from their work to uplift the voices of other small business sellers from across the state. We would also like to thank Florida State Senators Ava Maria Rodriguez and Jonathan Martin as well as Florida State Representatives Vicki Lopez, Mike Redondo, and Mike Giallombardo for meeting with our sellers and learning about their small business experiences on eBay.
