Californians to State Officials: “No New Internet Taxes”

eBay users in California have sent a loud message to their elected officials: “Just say ‘no’ to burdensome, new Internet taxes. Last week, buyers and sellers sent more than 55,000 letters to members of the CA Assembly, State Senate and Governor Jerry Brown in opposition to Assembly Bill 153. EU Rights Owners and Internet Retailers Sign Historic Agreement

This week, following two years of negotiations between Internet platforms and rights owners, 29 participants have signed an EU Memorandum of Understanding on the sale of counterfeit goods over the Internet. eBay, Amazon, LVMH, L\'Oréal, Adidas and other prominent brands agreed on a set of cooperative best practice principles.
