Small and medium enterprises – SMEs -- still face a number of regulatory barriers selling from one country to another, eBay’s Director of SME Businesses Jody Ford told business community and policy makers of the United Kingdom (U.K.). Click here to read more comments by Ford.

On Monday, The Supreme Court rejected an appeal by Tiffany and Co. in a major trademark case, solidifying the ruling handed down in eBay\'s favor this September. eBay was not held liable for trademark infringements stemming from sales on its website by individuals. eBay Inc. continues to favor an open marketplace and actively pursues possible cases of fraud on its websites.

During the Global Entrepreneurship Week, which took place from 15 to 21 November in 104 countries across the world, eBay\'s Director of SME Businesses Jody Ford reminded the UK business community and policy makers that SMEs still face a number of regulatory barriers to sell cross-border.

Eric Weinstein was sentenced to five years in prison for using fraudulent names and credit cards to scam the company and avoid paying fees. Upon release from prison, he will be ordered to make monthly payments toward $900,000 in restitution to eBay.
